Job description
Ø Be able to fulfil required roles and responsibilities as per skills (novice/ex miner).
Ø Participate in Learning, demonstrate skills and be able to transfer those skills in the workplace.
Ø Be able to communicate, give instructions and follow up on instructions given.
Ø Demonstrate progress towards achievement of the training outcomes.
Ø Comply with the relevant assessment requirements.
Ø Follow a structured program, which contains on and off the job training.
Ø Be actively involved in personal development and drive own development.
Ø Carry out responsibilities as per type of work.
Ø Work the required shift cycle as per operational requirement.
Ø Ensure compliance with Health and Safety responsibilities.
Ø Comply with provided rules, systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the Company.
Ø Ensure and maintain effective communication.
Ø Ensure that the objectives and targets for the shift is achieved.

Minimum requirements
- The age limit will be 35 years for novices (no prior mining industry experience/training) and 45 years for skilled candidates
- Grade 12 certificate and reference to the High School attended
- Ex miners: Valid Certificates of competence as per skill and record of service, highest qualification and school attended certificate
- Must be a local citizen from your Region
- Letter from your ward councillor stating ward number
- Must be South African Citizen with valid proof of identity
- Water and light account as proof of residence/address verification cert from CES
- Proficient in English speaking
- Ability to pass an underground Certificate of Fitness
- Need to pass Security Screening (No fraud, theft or violence)
The following documentation need to be attached to your application:
Ø CV
Ø Address verification certificate or letter signed by the recognized ward councillors
Ø ID copy – certified by SAPS
Ø Highest Education or any other qualification certificates / degrees – certified by SAPS
Ø Other Skills training certificates (in the case of ex miners) – certified by SAPS

Applications will be added to the Community database and positions will be offered once available in Harmony or with Contractor firms.
